Emergency Action Plan Review

Members of the LEPC will review a facility's Emergency Action Plan and provide comments at the request of the LEPC member facility.   This is a voluntary program for covered facilities.  The facility is responsible for the information in their Emergency Action Plan and the reviewing LEPC members are not liable for any information submitted or reviewed.

The benefit to the reporting facility is that outside resources that are familiar with the emergency response infrastructure in the community and with other facility EAP can provide the submitter with feedback to help improve the total response plan.

Some facilities are required to submit and maintain an Emergency Action Plan at the LEPC office based on the hazardous material at the facility.
